Coalition held
a joint Leadership
Conference
on March 11 & 12, 2004, on Capitol Hill
in Washington, DC. The Conference, attended by dozens of top
supporters from both organizations, provided participants with
insight about the national political climate and the status of 2004
contests for U.S. Senate, U.S. House and governor.
The packed agenda
for the two-day conference was highlighted by appearances from
national political figures, Members of Congress and campaign
strategists, including: U.S. Senators Susan Collins (ME) and Arlen
Specter (PA); U.S. Representatives Nancy Johnson (CT-5), Sue Kelly
(NY-19), Rob Simmons (CT-2) and Chris Shays (CT-4);
